Geocronos Ltd. is a Chilean company that was formed in 2006 in the city of Concepción. The owners and principal authors of this publishing company are geologists by profession and nature photography is their passion, a symbiosis that has led them to create this company allowing them to unite both passions.

Since its beginnings Geocronos has developed the Extreme Chile series, a range of products based on nature photographs (calendars, postcards, bookmarkers) which uses the wonderful images that the authors have obtained from their privileged geological perspective whilst travelling through Chile.

Chile Extremo: La Ruta de los Salares / The Route of the Salt Deposits is the title of the first book from this publisher, paving the way for a series called “Extreme Chile” which aims to cover diverse types of landscapes not just by showing images but also including the scientific background which has given rise to such majestic scenery.
