Eduardo Sánchez Ñiguez, professor of history, has played both in high school, and university. Between 1969 and 1973 was academic in the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Chile providing the chair of Social Issues in Chile and Latin America, and afterwards in the headquarters of the same university in Chillán, in charge of the chairs of Modern and Contemporary World History and Introduction to History. In December 1973 was removed, and thereafter lived what he calls "el insilio”. In 1975 he could return to high school, retiring in 2006 as rector of the Lyceum Guillermo Feliz Cruz.

He has published numerous studies related to his specialty, such as Thought of Antonio García and the problem of land tenure in Latin America. (1969. Editions of the Faculty of Fine Arts.); Three Structural Agrarian Reforms: Mexico, Bolivia and Cuba. (1973. Union Notes of the University of Chile, Chillán). On theory of History he published several articles in the Journal of the University of Chile between 1978 and 1979. He also served as educational adviser in the Rumbo Magazine of the newspaper La Tercera.

In 2003, Bogavante Editions published his book “Permanence and Sense of History”, ten essays on theory of History. The core idea of this book is that the historical process is justified by the art and this one accompanies the virtuality that this process be overcome resulting in a true meta-history. Asterión Publisher is preparing a second edition of this book.
