Ediciones ARQ is a non-profit publishing house from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Our main objective has been to publicize and promote an appreciation of the architecture of Chile and South America. The contents of each publication cover the areas of criticism and theory, seeking a balance between the professional and the academic fields.

Ediciones ARQ is directly dependent on the University’s School of Architecture, which has kept it in direct contact with an international network of architecture faculties. Exchanges, discussions and encounters among teachers and architects of the highest level, both from Chile and abroad, feed ARQ’s publications.

Editorial production

ARQ magazine

ARQ is the journal of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile School of Architecture and it is part of the periodical publications of the University.

ARQ is a quarterly publication aimed at professionals and academics, and dedicated to the dissemination of a critical selection of the architecture of Chile and South America and its related disciplines. Each issue addresses a theme that gives way to the editing, prioritizing excellence and variety of items, both papers as works and projects. The relationship with the academic world allows a permanent contact with international journals of architecture, with which we develop regular exchanges keeping an active dialogue.

The magazine is listed on the most discerning indexes on periodical science publications, being part of a wide network of universities, research centers and libraries around the world within reach of a growing number of readers. Architects, scholars and students have regular access to our publications throughout a series of online catalogues and indexes such as Arts & Humanities citation Index and Current Contents, Arts & Humanities ISI Current Contents, Catálogo de revistas científicas CONICYT Chile, Directorio de revistas científicas CONICYT Chile, Avery Index para publicaciones periódicas de arquitectura, Latindex revistas científicas iberoamericanas, Biblioteca Científica On-line Scielo.cl
